An active investor and advisor to sustainability-linked startups and hotels, Kristin champions innovative solutions that propel the industry forward.

Cyndy has diverse experience extending over 25 years in the hospitality, tourism, and real estate. Founder of TAJARA Hospitality, she has been representing owners, developers, and investment funds on various development capacity. TAJARA is a leading hospitality consulting and development company in the Philippines working with clients throughout Asia.

Bill is a globally recognised hospitality, tourism and real estate advisor. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Asia-based C9 Hotelworks. In addition to being a leading consultant, he is a frequent speaker at industry events and conferences. With more than 35 years’ experience in the Asia Pacific region, he has an extensive background in hotel operations, development and asset management.

Jayne brings 20+ years in hotels and in environmental change. Her island living experience inspires her understanding of unique environmental challenges. As Executive Director of Phuket Hotels Association, she fosters collaboration among hotels, government, and NGOs, driving sustainability. Notable achievements include leading plastic reduction initiatives, ensuring a greener hospitality future.

Steve Carroll leads the Asia Pacific Capital Markets Hotels & Hospitality team at CBRE, to deliver a market leading, fully integrated service offering across the region. He is a proven leader with extensive global experience across a broad range of Hotel related disciplines including investment, divestment, M&A, capital raising, debt, asset management and strategic advisory.

Jessica holds an LLM in International and European Law, an MA in Archaeology and Heritage, and an MA in Anthropology. She has written extensively on heritage issues, communities, and sustainability, especially in Southeast Asia. She is a passionate advocate for non-traditional, community-centred stewardship models. Jessica firmly believes that the key to preserving cultural heritage lies in a collaborative approach, in which communities, businesses, governments, and consumers come together to protect – and benefit from – our shared cultural legacy.

Charles is the Founder & CEO of IC Partners Ltd., a capital management and finance advisory firm focused on hospitality, commercial and industrial real estate assets and related investment joint venture investments and family offices in ASEAN. Active in online tech start ups and dual use technologies for inbound investment to drive value and scale.

Nick is an entrepreneur turned professional investor. He built Readymix – a concrete, quarrying and cement manufacturing business spanning Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei and Singapore. This lead to Ready Ventures – a family office that has invested in a portfolio of early stage companies and is a partner of Velocity Ventures, which is Southeast Asia’s leading travel and hospitality focused VC.

Vojtech Vegh is a zero-waste, plant-based chef and author of the book Surplus: The food waste guide for chefs. In 2018, he opened the world’s first zero-waste and vegan restaurant in Cambodia, and now focuses on helping other chefs and restaurants reduce food waste by as much as 80%.

Marc brings more than 15 years of experience in marketing, branding, and product development across Europe, the US and Asia. A strategic thinker, he has played pivotal roles in launching and revitalizing major hospitality brands. Marc excels in connecting business needs with innovative solutions and is a trusted advisor in the hospitality and lifestyle sectors.

Jan Hollister has 20+ years of experience in hospitality, tourism, and construction across Asia, Europe, and the US. He leads a start-up in Stockholm specialising in design and material procurement for apartment block renovations. Jan believes in the power of community engagement, team development, and collaborative business models. He integrates local insights for shared knowledge and mutual benefit, striving to create value and make a meaningful impact in his community through teamwork and innovation.

Mauro directs all Savills Hotels SE Asian operations. Alongside business development, his extensive industry expertise guides hotel investment and consultancy. Mauro is also highly competent with asset and development site valuation modelling. Besides managing the development of Savills Hotels team, Mauro is an active industry member and founded WeHub Vietnam that hosts signature hospitality events like Meet The Experts, HoSkar Night and webinars.

Patrick Keane, an award-winning architect, aims to rebuild the world with natural materials and innovative technologies. With a Bachelor’s in Environmental Design and a Master’s in Architecture from Princeton, he leads Enter Projects Asia, designing award-winning projects in hospitality, wellness, and infrastructure, and is a recognised thought leader in sustainable design.

Louis is the founder and CEO of Nomadic Resorts an award-winning architectural and landscape design office that delivers innovative, experiential hospitality projects since 2011. Among their most recent work is Madi Hiyaa overwater restaurant at Banyan Tree Vabinfaru, Playa Viva treehouses in Mexico (which won the Global Ahead Award 2023 for Cabins, lodges and tented camps) and Wild Coast Tented Lodge in Sri Lanka which was voted Global Gamechanger at the 2020 Ahead Awards.

Eco-Mantra is a leading environmentally sustainable design (ESD) and engineering consultancy based in Bali. It collaborates with visionary leaders and developers to create eco-friendly destinations and experiences, integrating sustainable design principles into every project. Maitri’s expertise spans both residential and commercial projects and he has worked with some well-known brands and developers, namely Potato Head, Waterbom Bali, Valrhona, Green School, COMO, Alila Hotels & Resorts, Viceroy Bali and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

Claudio, a licensed journalist since 1992, has been a developer for CONTINEWM® Asia energy-saving technologies in 23 countries since 2001, and a member of SKAL Koh Samui since 2004. Serving as Sustainability & Environment Director, Claudio guides his club with an eco-conscious mindset, steering the local hospitality industry towards energy efficiency and sustainability, and showcasing Koh Samui in its most environmentally friendly light to global travellers.

Paul has supported tuu’s mission to track and rate sustainability data since its inception in 2021. As HLB takes on the role of supervisor for the Tuu Eco Stay Awards, Paul's background and experience in supervising prestigious awards, coupled with his keen interest in sustainability, make him an invaluable asset to the Awards' mission of celebrating eco-friendly practices in the hospitality industry.

With a career in professional services in Asia spanning more than three decades, he has been a pivotal figure in HLB’s supervision of the Asia Property Awards, which has seen him advocate for recognition of sustainable design and construction in real estate across Asia.
